WAN Routers
Overview

Depending on the size of your company, your needs and your budget, we can select the right WAN routers for you, install them and maintain them. All routers have a firewall to prevent hackers and viruses from attacking your network and your computers. They provide Virtual Private Networking (VPN), forwarding of internal static IP addresses to external IP addresses so that you can access your office computers remotely, and that you can access web applications that run on your office servers. We will make sure that your routers work with your internet service providers, and that remote access to your office computers and office applications works properly.
Routers with one WAN interface

In small offices or branches a router with one WAN interface is sufficient. Such routers maybe the Cisco RV110 or RV120, or Juniper routers, or Netgear routers.

Routers with two WAN interfaces

If your company has a critical application such as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system running in the cloud, or on your premises, internet connection becomes very critical for your business. Therefore you should have two internet connections to the internet. One could be via cable, the other one via fiber (eg. Fios). This requires a router that can handle two internet connections (aka WAN interfaces). Internet Customer Solutions offers the Juniper SRX 300 Security Series router that has two WAN interfaces. This is much cheaper than having Dark Fiber from companies like Lightwave, Atlantic Metro, Hudson FIber Network, etc coming into your office. Dark Fiber is needed for large companies.

Securing small retail offices with up to 50 users, the SRX300 Services Gateway consolidates security, routing, switching, and WAN connectivity in a small desktop device. The SRX300 supports up to 1 Gbps firewall and 250 Mbps IPsec VPN in a single, consolidated, cost-effective networking and security platform.
Broadband Network Backup

The above solution of a router with two WAN interfaces only works if you have access to two ISPs in your building. If you have access to only one ISP, you could use a broadband network provider such as Broad Sky Networks on a temporary basis or a permanent basis. SInce Broad Sky Networks uses wireless broadband and VSAT from their location to your location, you will still have internet connection when all fiber and coax cable is out of service when a natural disaster strikes. Of course you still need to have power.
The only device you need at your premises is a Broad SKy Network router. You also need to subscribe to the broadband service. Internet Customer Solutions can easily do this.

You can bring this portable router anywhere (your car, your truck, your other office, your home, etc.) . It does have a GPS antenna so that enables GPS navigation, geofencing and fleet management.
